Openwork, Swindon.
During my year on placement with Interaction I had the pleasure of working alongside my design partner and mentor, Liesl, to create a collaborative open plan office and training suite for Openworks ltd.
The ground floor consisted of a new reception area, cafe, cafeteria and a large training academy filled with agile working areas and large meeting suites.
The first floor was re-designed as an open plan office layout with 112 sit/ stand desks and a large number of alternative working areas.

Ground Floor - Axo
We worked alongside our in house visualisation team to create an axonometric ground floor plan for the client.
The main entrance double doors leads you into the replanned reception area at front of the building. The reception desk was brought forward into the space to allow for a luggage store and cafe storage unit to be housed behind.
Openwork's coffee house and cafeteria is used by both office units and helps to create a campus feel and central meeting point between both.
Openwork training academy is used to train staff and visiting professionals. The space is home to its own breakout space, agile working areas, focus booths, collaborative meeting rooms, role play areas and 12+ person meetings suites.
Other amenities such as a wellbeing & quiet room, gym, yoga studio and outdoor bbq area.
First Floor - Axo
We worked alongside our in house visualisation team to create an axonometric first floor plan for the client.
The first floor has a total of 112 fixed desks in an open plan layout, these are all surrounded with numerous agile working furniture. For example, high benches, focus booths, phone rooms, an innovation studio with tiered seating and reconfigurable furniture.
A large tea-point area is located at the central core helping to connect the L-shaped layout of the floor and create a central meeting point.
Individual assigned lockers and storage units are spread out throughout the floor plan to enable agile working and clean desk policy.
